About Us
Rhonda Cullens received her first camera at age seven, following her father and grandfather’s love of photography. She took photography classes in high school and college, where she met Chane. After Chane bought his first camera, they began photographing together. They photographed their two sons’ sports activities and now photograph their travels and the world around them.
Rhonda and Chane give presentations and workshops at photography conferences and camera clubs. They are residents of Sandy Hook, Connecticut, and are active board members of the Flagpole Photographers Camera Club, where Rhonda serves as the Exhibit Chair. They compete and exhibit in New England and beyond and have held their own solo exhibits. Their largest exhibit featured over 300 of their photos at the Newtown Municipal Center.
Both are involved with the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC), where they have each received the Honorary Member (HonNEC) award for their service to the photographic community and NECCC. Rhonda also serves as an NECCC Vice President.
They have produced several coffee table books of their photos. Their photos have been included in the Connecticut Association of Photographers’ “Tops in Connecticut” exhibit. In the spring of 2025 NECCC Individual Print Competition, Rhonda received the Best of Show – Color Award for her photo “Fire and Ice,” and Chane received the Best of Show – Monochrome Award for his photo “New York City Lights.” Also, they have both authored non-photography books.
Rhonda and Chane judge competitions, where they provide comments to help photographers strengthen their photos. They also deliver presentations on a wide range of photography topics online and in person. Chane is known for his presentations and has delivered technical presentations in 34 countries.
